Our founders, Rang Nguyen and Huyen Tran only dream is to own a business in America after their journey to Seattle in 1998. Their journey started from selling Banh Mi to butchering meat in the refugee camp, then to working in various kitchens throughout the Seattle area before owning their own restaurant in 2005.  Although there’s a language barrier, Rang and Huyen could always express themselves through their food. In spring of 2018, both founders retired due to health reasons. Their passion and legacy is now being shared and passed down to their children and grandchildren. The restaurant now operated as the second generation of the Nguyen family.

Their eldest son Joe,oversees the restaurant’s public relations. Joe is a familiar face to many as he shares his expertise in food and experience with our customers as they are in our restaurant.

Trinh, as the eldest daughter of the family and is responsible for the continuance of the family traditional recipes. Trinh works behind the scenes making sure the business operates successfully today and the future.

As of December 2017, Thai is a graduate student from Institute Culinary Education in New York.  Thai is our restaurant’s head chef at Pho T&N. From kitchen operations to coming up with fun new dishes on the Chef special and tasting dinners.
